Fight against Poverty

IMG_0090The community served by Toujours ensemble is one of the most disadvantaged in Montreal. Through “Fight against Poverty” programs, the organization’s goal is to improve the living conditions of its members and their families.

Lunch Program
During the school year, hot lunches are provided to TE members. Served at the centre, meals cost $10 per month (or $0.50 per meal).

Food bank
Toujours ensemble makes sure its members and their families are always well fed, because a healthy life starts with a healthy diet.

After School Snacks
Making sure all young people taking part in Toujours ensemble’s programs have the energy they need to get through the afternoon is a priority. Snacks such as applesauce, cheese sticks and granola bars are always on hand.

Christmas Baskets Annual Campaign
To make sure everyone can experience some holiday cheer, Toujours ensemble organizes an annual Christmas Baskets drive. 250 – 300 underprivileged families in the community are provided with baskets of food, toys and whatever else they need to lift their spirits during the holiday season.
