TE Toolbox

IMG_0431The TE Toolbox is designed to provide all the tools needed to build a successful, prosperous and happy life. Through programs, resources and activities, young people aged 6 to 17 are given the opportunity to strive for their goals and reach their dreams.

Homework Help Program

The Homework Help Program is offered five days per week during the school year. The monitors, typically college or university students pursuing degrees in teaching, help TE members with their homework assignments, ensuring they are completed. The program is used by 130 students per year, with a daily capacity of 30 students.

Bursaries
From Secondary I to V, students are eligible to receive education bursaries to recognize their perseverance in school. These are renewable annually and will see students through to the completion of a university or professional degree. An amount of up to $2000 per year is awarded for university students and $500 for Cegep students.

School bags and supplies
In order to ensure they start the year off with the tools they need to succeed, Toujours Ensemble provides 300 students with school bags and school supplies at the beginning of the school year, with priority to those with the highest attendance rates in the Homework Help Program. Teachers, administrators and TE staff put forward their recommendations for the students that are most deserving.

Computers with Internet access

TE members have access to a computer resource room, where they can develop their computer skills, conduct research online or complete their homework assignments, all under the supervision of an animator at all times.

Library
Reading is an important part of succeeding in school. The Toujours ensemble library is equipped with a varied selection of over 1000 books for members of all ages. The comfortable reading centre is a source of inspiration and support for kids working to develop their reading skills. The library also includes a comic book section specially geared towards young boys, to help keep their interest high.
